Our curriculum is designed by Beth Alcazar. You’re getting a class for women designed by a woman. Our thoughtfully structured day includes three comprehensive modules with range time:
- Module 1: Safety & Fundamentals

I went into this experience nervous and a bit scared. I survived an abusive relationship that involved guns, and this class was run by men with guns. I honestly considered not attending, but I decided to push through and I am so glad I did. The instructors were thorough, respected my boundaries, always asking consent to set closer or to touch my hands to correct my grip. This was the most supportive, safe experience I could have asked for. What I was able to accomplish was a big first step in my healing process. I cannot recommend this class, Gals & Guns, enough. As someone who grew up shooting handguns who has continued shooting as an adult, I didn’t realize how much I really did not know about gun safety and shooting. I am really looking to my next class, Handgun Essentials, to continue improving. I also really appreciated the opportunity to learn in a girls only environment. I felt much more at ease than I have at a range full of men.
