Course Structure:
Module One: Red Dot Optics Fundamentals

This all-day course includes a break for lunch.
Instructor Bio:
John is a captain with the Murray County Sheriff’s Office, where he’s been employed for over 35 years. For more than 20 years, he’s been a Georgia POST certified firearm’s instructor. He also serves as a sniper on the Chatsworth Murray County SWAT team.
Important Information to Know
Students should wear appropriate attire for the range
- Closed toe shoes
- Brimmed hat
- Long pants
- Shirts with collars that rise to the collar bone
Lunch: While a lunch break is offered, food options are geographically limited to the range, and students should plan to bring their meal
Students should bring
- Medications, snacks, or anything else you need to stay comfortable and attentive
- Eye and ear protection (electronic ear protection is highly recommended)
- 300 rounds of ammunition
- Pistol with an optic already mounted
- Outside the waistband holster (optional)
- Note taking material
